Tom is very happy to announce he has finished work on a great new, and long overdue, tribute painting to the United States women's national soccer team (USWNT), Women's Soccer Tribute. The team is the most successful in international women's soccer, winning four Women's World Cup titles (including the first Women's World Cup in 1991), four Olympic gold medals (including the first Olympic women's soccer tournament in 1996), and eight CONCACAF Gold Cups. Off the field, the team endured an escalating legal fight with the United States Soccer Federation over gender discrimination, with players pointing out their vastly lower pay as compared to the U.S. men's national team despite a much higher record of success. Their actions resulted in a new collective bargaining agreement on April 5, 2017. The agreement would, among other things, lead to a pay increase and reduce the disparity between the USA Men's and Women's soccer teams but, does not guarantee the U.S national women's team equal pay with the men's national team. The USWNT began the new decade by winning both the 2020 CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying tournament (which qualified the team for the 2020 Summer Olympics) and the 2020 SheBelieves Cup titles. Women's Soccer Tribute is surly going to be a Thomas Jordan Gallery fan favorite and a must have.
